Since its founding, Let God Be You Ministry has been committed to transforming lives by creating opportunities that empower children, youth, women, and families to discover their potential and build sustainable futures.
Our journey began with the Community Educational and Training Center (CETC), where education, leadership development, and life skills opened new possibilities for underserved young people. From that foundation, the ministry has grown into a movement that has positively impacted more than 1,000 children, youth, women, and families through innovative community programs and strategic partnerships.
Some of our key achievements include:
- Watoto Tucheze (Let Children Play): Restored the right to play and learn for out-of-school children while supporting children of single mothers, allowing their mothers to participate in education and livelihood programs.
- Bridge Program: Connected out-of-school youth with employability training, entrepreneurship, and job referrals through partnerships with small and medium-sized businesses, helping many young people take their first steps toward meaningful employment.
- Beauty Project for Teenage Mothers: Equipped young mothers with practical beauty and cosmetology skills, enabling them to work together, earn an income, and rebuild confidence and independence.
- Sauti ya Mama na Mtoto: Established a micro-lending initiative that enabled women to start and grow small businesses, strengthening household incomes and promoting financial independence.
- Shamba Boys: Engaged young men in sustainable vegetable farming, creating employment opportunities while improving local food production and entrepreneurship.
- Fashion and Design Center: Trained young women in tailoring, fashion design, and garment production, equipping them with marketable skills and pathways to self-employment.
Beyond these community initiatives, Let God Be You Ministry has been recognized nationally and internationally for its commitment to youth empowerment and social innovation. Our work has received international recognition, including the Anzisha Prize, and our founder has been invited to speak at international youth conferences, sharing lessons on leadership, entrepreneurship, and community transformation.
The ministry has also built strong partnerships with local and international organizations, schools, churches, businesses, and development partners to expand opportunities for underserved communities. Our impact has been featured by local and international media, highlighting innovative approaches to education, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
